چکیده
Abstract The present study was a prospective, controlled, randomized, clinical short-term trial aiming to evaluate the performance of adhesively luted, lithium disilicate and feldspathic glass-ceramics onlays over period up 2 years. A total 11 patients (7 female, 4 male; age range: 18-60 years, mean age: 39 years) were selected for this study. Each patient received maximum two restorations per group in split-mouth-design. LD: Eleven onlays, performed with disilicate-based ceramic (IPS e.max CAD, Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein), FP: (Vita Mark II, Vita Zanhfabrik, Bad Säckingen). Recalls at weeks (baseline = R1), 1 year (R2) years (R3) after cementation by three calibrated blinded independent investigators using mirrors, magnifying eyeglasses, probes bitewing radiographs. postoperative sensitivity, secondary caries, marginal integrity, discoloration, color match, surface roughness, tooth restoration integrity evaluated. Friedman test used determine if there statistically significant difference time-to-time comparison parameters ceramics restorations. 95.4% clinically acceptable 2-year recall, without any evaluation parameter both materials. Based on data, CAD-CAM manufactured lithium-disilicate based showed similar performance.
